Disc Defragmenter
Just curious. Does the disk defragmenter in Win 98 overwrite the empty space on the disk when it defragments? I know the defragmentation process reorganizes disk data so everything gets put back in its place for more efficient access, but what about overwriting empty space? Thanks. Bob.

I had heard that there is a glitch in Windows 2000 that does not allow the disk defragmenter to work. I have a Hewlett Packard Pavilion 7850, 933MHz Pentium III processor, and a 40 GB hard drive.
